Tip of the Week: Foundation

Every week, we'll be posting our "Tip of the Week" from one of our stylists. We're so eager to share all the good information out there for all of your beauty needs.

This week our tip is from DeVenir's owner, Gillian Moritz. She's been in the beauty business for over 10 years and has worked in both editorial shoots, as well as on television and movie sets. One topic she's always asked about is 'foundation'. Don't you just hate when you can't get the right shade??

"One of the biggest mistakes we can make, when picking out foundation, is putting it on our hand or wrist to match the color we need. Using your hand as a tester is a big 'no no'. Instead, apply a small amount to your jaw line and pick the tone that is closest to your skin color. It's VERY IMPORTANT to remember that your neck and face may be slightly different in tone, since the face gets more sun than the neck area."
